This shower head works well. Tested and it does get 1 GPM and it’s well made. It’s light weight, made of chromed plastic, and the price is good for that. The pressure compensation works well, our pressure is high at 80 and it still puts out the 1 GPM. Water stream feels strong for that low of a GPM.

I had an amazing Miser Shower head years ago & now with an 11 room B&B I want to re-discover quality, power and savings as my last water bill was $668.!! I will order 3, so I will let you all know if I am super happy!!

P.S. I have to put in a rating, so I will with 3 for now.

I typically take 10-13 minute showers or more. Sometimes I’ll shave my beard in the shower. With water prices going up in Chicago, I decided to make an investment in this product. At first I was a little disappointed. I was hoping I wouldn’t notice much difference between this and my previous 2.5 GPM shower head. The pressure and water volume is noticeably less with this shower head, which makes sense because it is a miserly 0.995 GPM. Although a steady stream of water was coming out, it probably felt about half as much water and pressure as my old 2.5 GPM shower head. But after a few weeks I got used to it and really enjoy showers with this shower head even in a cold bathroom. Anytime I’m away and take a shower in a 2.5 GPM shower head, it feels like a big waste of water and unnecessarily strong. My winter showers in a cold bathroom is no problem for the Eco Miser. I never feel lacking for hot water in the shower. You will need to use slightly more vigorous rubbing with your hands to rinse off shampoo and soapy hair with this shower head if you want to rinse off in approximately the same time as with a regular 2.5 GPM shower head. This shower head isn’t for everyone and I wouldn’t recommend it to women with long hair because it’d take noticeably longer to rinse your hair versus a normal 2.5 GPM shower head. Bricor person on phone also recommended 1.25 or 1.5 GPM for long hair. People with long hair could definitely use this shower head if they don’t mind the extra effort and time to rinse. I hooked the Eco Miser up in my parent’s shower. My mom didn’t mind it (she has shorter hair) and my dad didn’t like it at all because he said it took to long to rinse (even though he doesn’t have a lot of hair). But my dad hates anything new anyway. I do wish the flow was adjustable where I could narrow the flow and get more pressure for when I’m rinsing my hair but it’s not a huge deal. The Bricor B100 Max has this feature but the Eco Miser has wider coverage and is much cheaper. The Eco Miser is noisier than a regular 2.5 GPM shower head due to the air intake but it’s not a big deal. You might need to boost the sound volume a little bit if you’re listening to music while showering. I am planning on buying another Bricor shower head for my parents that is in the 1.25 to 1.5 GPM range. I used a generic low flow shower head in my college apartment and the Eco Miser is worlds better. You could narrow the flow of that shower head to help rinse off your hair but the Eco Miser is still way better and probably saves a lot more water than that low flow shower head did. The name for this Bricor shower head is very appropriate, and miserly people like me will be most happy with it. I am very happy with its performance considering it is only 0.995 GPM. The metal connection is solid, and the rest of the shower head is plastic but I know this shower head will last a long time. This shower head will save lots of $$$ in water and energy bills over the years. I also like the fact that it’s pressure compensated because sometimes the water pressure goes down in the house due to family members using water. It automatically keeps a steady flow of water coming out which is cool. Hope my long review helps others decide what to buy.

Bought the Miser, because we have a 40 gallon water heater, and with our 2.5 gpm and 1.5 gpm shower heads, the hot water was done by the second shower. We now have Hot water for all four of us. Thanks, Bricor.

After buying a house in Seattle, I discovered the really high $500 water bills. I used to have a 2.5 gpm shower head, which I turned way down with a shutoff valve to save water cost.
This 1 gpm shower head I turned down a little with my shutoff valve since I wasn’t used to having pressure. I measured it at .9 gpm with the shut off valve in use. My showers are way nicer than my previous 2.5 gpm shower head experience.

We have been using the Eco-Mi$er for 6 years we love it. Has lots of pressure without wasting a ton of water. Would highly recommend to anyone that uses a lot of shower water.
